Reset a Password

During the installation of ParetoLogic PGsurfer you, as the administrator, were asked to enter a password. You were also asked to provide an answer to a reminder question that would identify you as the administrator in the event you forgot your password. If you have forgotten your password you can follow these steps.

To reset your password, do the following:

  1. Open ParetoLogic PGsurfer to view the list of user profiles.
  2. In the Administrator profile section, click the Forgot Your Password button.
  3. Use the drop down arrow to select the question you were originally asked during the installation of the program.
  4. Enter your answer in the text box.
  5. Click OK.

After successfully answering the question, PGsurfer will present the new password. You can now logon to PGsurfer. If you want to change your new password you can modify it in your profile settings.

Note: If you have forgotten the answer to the reminder question, you will need to follow the Password Reset procedure as described to you when you first installed the program.

Changing Your Reminder Answer

You can also edit your reminder if you feel that the privacy of this answer is at risk. To edit your password, see General Profile Settings.

For Other User Passwords

If a non-administrator forgets their password you can open the Control Panel, select the applicable user name, and change the login credentials using the Change Login Settings button. See the General page for more information.
