Add a User Profile

As an administrator you can add a new user profile by opening the Control Panel and performing the following steps. You will need to enter in login credentials for the user including name and password. After that you will need to select website sensitivity and Internet permissions.

The basic steps to add a new user profile are as follows:

  1. Click the Add New User link found on the bottom of the Home page or the Profiles page.
  2. Enter the profile login credentials (name, password, confirm password), select a profile icon, and click Next to continue.
  3. Adjust the Website Sensitivity slider and click Next to continue.
  4. Choose to Allow or Block each of the Internet Permissions.
  5. Click the Finish button.

Profile Login Credentials

You will need to fill in the login credentials in the text boxes provided including the following:

Name

A set of alphanumeric characters.

Password

A set of alphanumeric characters that the user will need to login. The password can be 4-16 characters in length.

Confirm password

The same password to verify it was correctly entered.

Profile icon

A set of icons and user group descriptions displayed after clicking the drop down arrow.

Website Sensitivity

You will need to set the level of sensitivity for the new user profile be moving the slider to one of the following positions:

High

The most restrictive setting; there are many websites that the user will not be able to access.

Medium

Moderate restriction of websites.

Low

A few websites are blocked.

Internet Permissions

There are three main Internet activities that you to set:

Chat rooms and instant messaging applications that are installed on your computer.

File Trading

Outgoing and incoming file transfers including images, movies, and music file.

Email Access

Web-based email and email applications installed on your computer.
