Scan and Install

The entire ParetoLogic DriverCure scan involves a step-by-step workflow that includes the following:

Types of Scans

A two-part scan occurs each time you run a scan.

Scan Type

Description

Hardware

Collects all necessary information about the installed hardware for your entire system. This includes information such as: hardware name; hardware type; ID number; associated driver (if applicable) and driver version; device vendor and manufacturer; and more.

Software

Collects all of the information about the installed software for your entire system. This includes information such as: software name, version, manufacturer, executable name, and more.

Frequency of Scanning

We recommend you perform a scan in the event performance is potentially compromised as a result of outdated drivers or software. Regular scanning for updated drivers and software is recommended when you change or add software frequently. You can use the Schedule feature to perform a scan automatically.

Installation

After the results are displayed and you have reviewed the available information, you can then continue to install the detected items.

If you are having issues installing drivers, see Troubleshooting: Manual Installation for an alternative method of installing downloaded drivers.
