Active Protection

Active Protection is designed to detect and block malware attacks and threats as they happen in "real-time". ParetoLogic Anti-Virus PLUS uses "monitors" that are designed to stay on the alert for any malware intruders.

Anti-Virus PLUS provides you with the highest level of protection while being as non-obtrusive as possible. You can set the security level to determine what actions Active Protection will take when intercepting a malware threat.

Note: There are times when malware items take hold of your system even when you are attempting to block them. In these cases it is best to run a complete scan. If you receive more than one alert notice for the same detected item, you could have a malware infection on your computer. For more information, see Cyclic Detection.

Warning: Active Protection can conflict with other programs that utilize similar real-time blocking strategies; results will vary. We recommend that you use only one active protection mechanism.

To Begin

From the Main window you can access all the Active Protection functionality from the Active Protection page.
