Studies indicate that the Sandboxer application is also capable of hijacking the user's Internet browser. It can allegedly modify Web browser settings such as those of the Internet Explorer program and alter the homepage of the user making it difficult to alter. This adware could also appoint the search features of the browser directing searches by means of search engines or unexpected servers.
Incidentally, the program SandBoxer is an adware comprised of an online collection of classic computer games that may be played and downloaded free of charge. It does not just download and display advertisements; it is also capable of downloading other types of malware and repairing itself every time a part of it is deleted.
Based on reports, this malware utilizes random filenames that it modifies each time. It is also said to employ random text for entries in the registry and the said texts are modified from time to time as well. The SandBoxer application is believed to be fault-tolerant. It repairs itself whenever a part is deleted and sets the attributes of its file to the computer system. This application is concealed from the user in order to make detection and removal difficult.
