FileCure solves headaches of file extensions, associations

File extensions should help you figure what type of file you are trying to open. A file extension is the suffix, usually three (.doc, .mp3, .exe) or four (.docx) letters long, that appears after the file name. They identify what the file type is. However, there are many extensions and you likely don't know them all. Also, at times the file extensions may be missing or hidden.

FileCure can help. It uses advanced technology to scan your files, then, in an easy to understand display, tells you what format they are in and which programs can open it. If you not have the appropriate program to crack open a file, FileCure can link you to the online software you need.

What this means is that you will no longer waste your time trying to figure out what .jpg, .dll, .rar and the rest of the alphabet soup of file suffixes mean.
