With hard work, innovation and loyal customer support, ParetoLogic continues to grow. The online security and PC optimization software company earned a place in the prestigious Branham300, 2009 edition.
"These are tough economic times, but the Branham300 proves that innovative companies such as ParetoLogic can survive and prosper," said Elton Pereira, ParetoLogic's
co-founder and chief executive officer. "We are very proud to be included with such a distinguished group."
The Branham 300 is an annual look at the health of the Canadian information and communications technology (ICT) industry. The list is broken up into 250 of Canada's top technology companies, 25 up and comers and 25 multinationals. On the top 250 list, ParetoLogic, who developed the top-selling RegCure Registry Cleaner, was ranked 127. The figures listed in the Branham300 showed ParetoLogic's revenue increased 50 per cent over the past year. As well, the makers of the popular XoftSpySE Anti-Spyware and ParetoLogic Anti-Virus PLUS were ranked in the top 10 of the Canada's top security IT companies.
The companies on the list surpassed $70 billion in combined revenue for the first time in the Branham300's 15-year history. The 2009 top 250 was topped by Nortel Networks, a multinational manufacturer of telecommunications equipment.
"The average company appearing on the Branham300 experienced revenue growth of 22 per cent," said J. Wayne Gudbranson, chief executive officer and president of the Branham Group. "Despite the declining health of the Canadian and global economy and its toll on all industries, the Canadian ICT industry has persevered and continues to grow."
This is the first year that ParetoLogic has cracked the prestigious Branham300. However, making the list is just the latest of the many honours ParetoLogic has received. For example, ParetoLogic was selected in late 2008 to be part of PROFIT magazine's Hot 50 ranking of Canada's Emerging Growth Companies. ParetoLogic was also named the Technology Company of the Year at the 2008 Business Examiner Awards.
The Branham300 is compiled annually by the Branham Group. The Canadian consultancy firm focuses on ICT businesses. The Branham300 is published in both the Globe and Mail and the April/May issue of Backbone magazine. Backbone is a Canadian publication that examines how technology enhances business.
