ParetoLogic earns high honours at VIATeC Awards
On a night recognizing the best of the best of Vancouver Island’s technology community, the ParetoLogic contingent was shocked to be honoured with two awards.
At the 2008 Vancouver Island Advanced Technology Centre (VIATeC)Technology Awards, ParetoLogic was awarded the Technology Company of the Year trophy. This prestigious award came on the heels of ParetoLogic winning in the Innovative Excellence: Software or Service Delivery category earlier on the evening of May 15. This award was received for PGsurfer, ParetoLogic's free, advanced parental controls software.
"It was such an honour to be recognized by VIATeC in two different categories," said Elton Pereira, ParetoLogic’s CEO and Co-Founder. "We are very proud to be part of such a flourishing tech community on Vancouver Island. As well, we are pleased to have enjoyed such success in the past year. PGsurfer, which demonstrates our approach to innovative and effective software, is just one example of our accomplishments. It is a true team effort at ParetoLogic and we are excited to work toward more goals."
More than 500 guests attended this year's VIATeC Technology Awards. The annual gala aims to capture the innovation, energy and enthusiasm of the technology innovators and business community on British Columbia’s Vancouver Island.
ParetoLogic was pleased to be recognized for its very successful past year. Among the many goals accomplished by the company in that time frame were the launch of ParetoLogic Data Recovery, PGsurfer and the innovative kid-friendly website SafeSurfer. ParetoLogic is proud of all of its products but is especially excited to put free-of-charge, effective tools such as PGsurfer and SafeSurfer into the hands of parents.
This is the second consecutive year that VIATeC has recognized an innovative ParetoLogic product. In 2007, XOFTspy Portable Anti-Spyware, which offers spyware protection from a U3 USB drive, also earned an Innovative Excellence Award.
While ParetoLogic is pleased with its past accomplishments, the company is continually moving forward. In 2008, it has already released ParetoLogic Anti-Virus PLUS, which combines an advanced anti-virus solution with the company’s well established spyware protection. ParetoLogic has many other goals it plans to accomplish this year as it establishes itself as the leader in online security.
