PC Health Advisor 3.0 Launched to Provide Automated, Customizable Tools

PC Health Advisor, the all-in-one software utility from ParetoLogic, has been upgraded to version 3, offering users more tools and greater convenience in optimizing their PCs.

Victoria, B.C. October 19, 2010 – Users of PC Health Advisor gained valuable new tools to optimize and secure their PCs today. PC Health Advisor, the all-in-one software utility from ParetoLogic, has been updated to version 3.0. Included in this update is expanded privacy cleaning support, auto-detect functionality for unknown file scans, a disk defragment alert, and a home screen customization feature.

"There's a whole lot packaged into PC Health Advisor," explained Adrian Pereira, Chief Technology Officer at ParetoLogic, "with each update, we not only add functionality, but improve the usability of existing tools, to make them more automated and customizable – in a nutshell, easier to use."

The Privacy Scan feature of PC Health Advisor now includes support for the latest versions of the Google Chrome browser. Improved scanning and support for Chrome ensures the integrity of the users' identity by completely cleaning personal and private details.

PC Health Advisor's File Extension Manager, introduced in version 2, now adds an auto-detect feature. In this hands-free technology, users who attempt to open an unknown file will be prompted to use PC Health Advisor to identify and open the file they need.

On a similar note, the Disk Defrag tool now features automatic detection and notification of disk defragmentation. As a result, users whose hard disks have become overly fragmented will receive an alert automatically, and a prompt to defragment.

"The whole idea is to guide the user, and not require any advanced knowledge of PC optimization," said Pereira. "These updates allow all users, regardless of technical know-how, to use PC Health Advisor's features."

A new customize function rounds out the PC Health Advisor update. The service allows users to re-arrange their PC Health Advisor home page, so they can place their favourite tools and scans at their fingertips.
