ParetoLogic ranked in PROFIT Hot 50

Victoria, B.C. September 23, 2008 - Due to the success of such popular products as RegCure Registry Cleaner and XoftSpySE Anti-Spyware, ParetoLogic has earned a spot on PROFIT magazine's Hot 50 ranking of Canada's Emerging Growth Companies.

"Canada is brimming with new companies that are changing the face of business locally and globally - to be chosen as one of Profit Magazine's Hot 50 companies from such an illustrious group is an honour indeed," said Elton Pereira, ParetoLogic's CEO and

The Hot 50 was published in the October issue of PROFIT. Topping the list was Holdings Inc. The rest of the Hot 50 runs the gamut of businesses - from online auction management to model-train manufacturing to blog publishing.

The Hot 50 ranks young firms by two year "growth." That word certainly describes ParetoLogic well. In 2005, ParetoLogic featured eight employees and by 2007 it had 108. During the past few years the company has prospered financially while establishing it as a leader in online security and undertaking several efforts to help keep families safe on the Internet.

"The PROFIT Hot 50 companies illustrate the ingenuity and vitality of Canada's entrepreneurial sector," said PROFIT editor Ian Portsmouth in a statement. "Anyone who wants to start or grow a business can draw much inspiration and many lessons from the Hot 50."

The companies on the list have an average two-year revenue growth of 756 per cent. All of them have at least doubled their sales over the past two years. In spite of such challenges as changing business trends, the lofty Canadian dollar during that time and a talent shortage, 74 per cent of the companies, including ParetoLogic, turned a profit.

In the same issue of PROFIT, ParetoLogic was also featured in an article entitled "Retention strategies: Barriers to exit" by Jennifer Crump. The article details the recruiting and HR techniques utilized by the company to maintain quality staff.
