At the 2010 Pacific Regional Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® gala, Elton Pereira claimed his award in the Information Technology field. The award recognized Pereira's success in co-founding and expanding his security and utility software company, ParetoLogic.

Victoria, B.C. September 30, 2010 – Elton Pereira of ParetoLogic has won in the Information Technology category at the Pacific Regional Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® awards. As the Co-founder, President, and CEO of ParetoLogic, Pereira was recognized for his outstanding leadership and achievement in developing the Victoria, BC security and utility software company.

"It is a great honour to accept this award from Ernst & Young," said Pereira. "Although this is a personal award, I believe that it belongs as much to me as it does to my 3 brothers, Adrian, Don and Myron who are ParetoLogic's co-founders, the entire management team, and the passionate individuals at ParetoLogic who made our company a world-class software provider."

Pereira co-founded ParetoLogic in 2004. Since then, he ushered the company to exceptional growth and profitability, developing over a dozen unique solutions for the software marketplace and serving over seven million customers in every country of the world. Moving from anti-spyware software offerings such as XoftSpySE, to driver updater DriverCure and all-in-one pc optimization and security software PC Health Advisor, ParetoLogic continually pushes the boundaries with their comprehensive solutions for consumers.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® award recognizes exceptional business leaders in Canada. Judges make their decision based on nominee's revenues, growth, effect on their industry, strategic innovation, and corporate culture. Judges also take into account personal factors such as integrity, reliability, and relationship with staff, along with philanthropy and community involvement.

Pereira's business neatly ticked each of those boxes, with an incredible display of revenue-growth, a leadership role in its industry, new products to tap new niches, and a healthy corporate environment. Pereira added to this with his ongoing charity work and commitment to the Victoria-tech community.
