ParetoLogic Joins Angel Tree Program to Provide Gifts for Children in Need
The staff of PC security and utility software company ParetoLogic have once again joined the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program, to give holiday gifts to underprivileged children.
Victoria, B.C. December 22, 2009 - For their third year in a row, the staff of ParetoLogic has chosen the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program for their Christmas charity. Members of the staff have been assigned over 2 dozen local Victoria children for whom to buy a special Christmas gift.
"It's a wonderful charity" said ParetoLogic's Office Manager Marlee Wilson, who coordinated ParetoLogic's contributions. "This lets us get really personal, and make a child's Christmas a happy one."
The Salvation Army program allows individuals in participating organizations to sponsor local impoverished children. Sponsors, or 'Christmas Angel,' are told their child's age and gender, then pick out an appropriate present. The gift is then transferred to the child's parents, to give their son or daughter a happy Christmas.
ParetoLogic has participated in the program for three years running, with greater numbers each time. Along with the Angel Tree program, ParetoLogic is also participating in the Mustard Seed food drive, and the software company has also been in the news for their recent donation to the Christian Care Foundation for Children with Disabilities. "Whether they are in our neighborhood or across the globe, Christmas is a time to help children, and we are glad to do what we can" said Wilson.
About Salvation Army Angel Tree Program
The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program brings the joy of Christmas to children from families in need with the help of generous sponsors. Gifts purchased by the sponsors are given by The Salvation Army to parents who may then experience the pride of providing for their children and the treasure of sharing in their excitement.
Approximately 6,000 toys will be distributed by The Salvation Army in Victoria this Christmas.
Please consider being a blessing to those less fortunate in our neighborhoods by sponsoring a tree or a child.
